A one-step dry spinning method for producing fibers from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene:
After pre-swelling treatment of UHMWPE raw material with solvent and spinning additives, the spinning solution undergoes dissolution and shearing in a twin-screw extruder before being uniformly mixed in a static mixer.
It is then fed into the spinning tank, extruded through the spinneret assembly, followed by rapid low-temperature quenching.
The fibers then undergo high-ratio drawing through a dehumidifying dryer, multi-stage dryer, and multi-stage drawing chamber to form the final fiber product.
The gel strands produced by this method demonstrate no hairiness or breakage during draw tests.
Fiber production rates are significantly enhanced, achieving energy savings and reduced consumption.
Fiber breaking strength ranges from 12 to 30 cN/dtex and 600 to 1000 cN/dtex, with a strand uniformity rate <3% and a fiber yield exceeding 98%.
