The present invention belongs to the technical field of fiber-reinforced polymer composites, in particular to a polycarbonate/ramie fiber composite and a preparation method thereof. A styrene-acrylonitrile-maleic anhydride hyperbranched copolymer is synthesized. 60–85 parts by weight of polycarbonate, 10–30 parts by weight of ramie fiber and 5–10 parts by weight of hyperbranched copolymer are uniformly mixed and added into a hopper, and a polycarbonate/ramie fiber composite is prepared by a twin-screw extruder. In the present invention, the crosslinking degree of the hyperbranched polymer and the proportion of various structural units are adjustable, which can effectively enhance the compatibility between polycarbonate and ramie fiber. Ramie fiber treated with dilute alkali solution has good performance and is green and environmentally friendly. The polycarbonate/ramie fiber composite prepared by blending polycarbonate with ramie fiber and hyperbranched copolymer can use a general twin-screw extruder without additional equipment investment.
