A Polylactic Acid (PLA) Snow-Like 3D Printing Material, and Methods for Its Preparation and Application

A snow-like PLA 3D printing material, a preparation method and application thereof belong to the technical field of 3D filament preparation. To provide a green production method of 3D printing materials, the invention comprises preparing cationic surfactant-modified cellulose, weighing 85–95 parts of polylactic acid, 5–15 parts of cationic surfactant-modified cellulose and 1–5 parts of titanium dioxide in parts by weight, and mixing uniformly to obtain a blend; feeding the blend into a twin-screw extruder for melt reaction and extrusion, cooling the extrudate, crushing with a grinder to obtain a primary material, and feeding into a single-screw extruder for extrusion drawing. The single-screw extruder has no temperature setting in zone 1, 176–181℃ in zone 2, and 168–173℃ in the extrusion zone. Extrusion, water cooling, drafting by a tractor and synchronous winding by a take-up device yield the snow-like PLA 3D printing material. The invention is green and environment-friendly.
