The invention relates to a high-performance polypropylene composite material for vehicles with good mold replication capability and a preparation method thereof. Calculated in parts by weight, the composite material comprises the following components: 30–80 parts of high-flow high-crystallinity polypropylene; 0–40 parts of filler; 5–30 parts of ethylene-octene block copolymers (OBCs); and 0.01–1 part of nucleating agent. The material of the invention has outstanding mold surface replication capability, and can be injection-molded to obtain high-gloss or low-gloss parts through rapid and accurate replication of the mold surface without affecting the inherent properties of the material.
