Preparation Method of PA6 Composite Material with Low Water Absorption and High Strength

The invention belongs to the technical field of polymer materials and discloses a preparation method of low-water-absorption and high-strength PA6 composite materials. PA6, silicone powder, adamantane-modified hyperbranched polymer, epoxy-functional adamantane, polyethylene resin, polypropylene and Antioxidant 1076 are melt-blended and extruded by a twin-screw extruder, followed by injection molding to obtain the target composite. During melt blending, terminal hydroxyl groups of the adamantane-modified hyperbranched polymer undergo ring-opening reaction with epoxy groups of epoxy-functional adamantane to form crosslinked structures, which intertwine with PA6 molecular chains and significantly enhance tensile strength and flexural strength. The adamantane groups in functional additives provide excellent hydrophobicity, which together with low-water-absorption polyethylene and polypropylene construct a stable low-water-absorption system.
