The invention belongs to the field of polymer materials and provides a hydrophobically modified polyester PET and its preparation method. The composite includes polyester PET resin, organic fluorosilicone-allyl glycidyl ether hydrophobic copolymer and antioxidants. The preparation method comprises uniformly mixing all raw materials, wherein the fluorosilicone copolymer is added in the form of organic solution. After standing for 1 to 2 hours, the mixture is melt-extruded and reacted in a twin-screw extruder. Vacuum degassing is adopted to remove and recover residual solvents and unreacted monomers to prepare hydrophobic modified PET. The material features durable hydrophobicity, simple production process and low cost, and can be widely applied in textile, packaging, construction, electronic and automotive industries.
