The present invention discloses a high-brightness composite luminescent fiber and its preparation method. This composite luminescent fiber features a skin-core composite structure, wherein the fiber cross-section comprises a circular skin layer and a hexadecagonal star-shaped core layer. wherein the sheath is prepared from bright copolyester pellets copolymerized by esterification of dicarboxylic acids and diols, and the core is manufactured using a single-stage fiber forming process. This process employs PBT powder with excellent flow properties, supplemented with bottle-grade PET powder as a carrier, and functional additives providing efficient coupling, antioxidant properties, and good water repellency. This enables uniform dispersion of phosphorescent powder within a vacuum-equipped twin-screw extruder, followed by direct melt extrusion spinning. This approach reduces the masterbatch pelletization stage, shortens melt residence time, and operates at lower melt temperatures. The resulting melt exhibits excellent flowability, minimal polyester degradation, superior spinning performance, and high fiber strength, making it suitable for adoption by existing polyester fiber manufacturers.
