The present invention relates to the field of polymer materials and discloses a method for preparing modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, the modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer itself, and its applications. The method comprises: melt-extruding and forming ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, low-density polyethylene, silane coupling agent, and antioxidant in a twin-screw extruder to obtain the modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer prepared using the method provided by this invention can be used as a bonding coating for pre-coated films without requiring a primer. This simplifies the preparation process for pre-coated films, reduces the amount of adhesive required, and improves the production efficiency of pre-coated films.
