The present invention discloses a method for regenerating lead-free ABS plastic from waste lead-acid batteries. Using waste lead-acid batteries with ABS plastic casings as raw material, the dismantled casings are first crushed by compression into coarse fragments. After de-silting, these fragments are pulverized into granules. The plastic fragments undergo ultrasonic-assisted swelling treatment, followed by reaction processing in dilute sulfuric acid to to remove lead ions. After washing and drying, the plastic is sequentially subjected to chain extension and modification using HTPB and MDI, respectively. It is then blended in proportion with PMMA and high-rubber ABS powder. The mixture is kneaded in a vacuum kneader before being extruded into pellets via a twin-screw extruder, yielding modified recycled ABS plastic pellets. This method addresses the challenge of recycling ABS plastic casings from waste lead-acid batteries. It offers a simple process with high recovery rates, delivering significant economic benefits and market value.
