Raw materials of the cable material include: 100 parts of resin material; 130~160 parts of flame retardant; 3~5 parts of antioxidant; 2~4 parts of lubricant; 1~3 parts of silane coupling agent; 1~3 parts of crosslinking sensitizer; 3~6 parts of other additives; the preparation method comprises: weighing the raw materials according to the formula ratio, banburying at a banburying temperature of 155℃, fully mixing uniformly, discharging to a twin-screw extruder for mixing, and then sending to a single-screw extruder for pelletizing; wherein the temperature of twin-screw extrusion is 120~150℃, the screw speed frequency is 25Hz, and the extrusion temperature of single-screw is 80~140℃; cooling and sieving after extrusion, and drying to obtain the cable material. The cable material formula system of the invention is environmentally friendly and halogen-free, has excellent flame retardant properties, can meet the requirements of EN50264 standard, has low material hardness and soft hand feeling, and also has the advantages of good processing properties and excellent mechanical properties.
