The invention relates to an upper casing of a battery pack and a processing method thereof. The steps comprise: preparing an inner casing by overlapping and laying multi-layer glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin prepregs, with notches arranged at the four corners of the inner casing; feeding carbon fiber and flame-retardant PP resin into a twin-screw extruder for heating, melting and plasticizing, and cutting to obtain block composite preforms; placing the inner casing in a molding mold of the upper casing, placing three composite preforms on the inner casing at equal intervals, adjusting molding parameters, closing the mold and curing to obtain the upper casing of the battery pack. The invention adopts a multi-material fusion process, prefabricating the inner casing and then molding it with composite preforms of carbon fiber and flame-retardant PP resin via mold closing and curing, realizing the molding of a battery pack upper casing with a complex structure, ensuring the strength of the casing and reducing the weight of the finished product by 20% compared with an all-glass fiber product.
