The invention provides an ionic liquid-based antistatic ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and a preparation method thereof. The antistatic ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is prepared from the following raw materials in mass percentage: 78–99% of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, 0.5–10% of ionic liquid antistatic agent, 0–10% of inorganic nano-carrier, and 0.2–2% of functional auxiliary agent. The inorganic nano-carrier is an inorganic nano-material rich in hydroxyl groups on the surface. The viscosity-average molecular weight of the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is 1,000,000–4,000,000. The ionic liquid antistatic agent is selected from one or more of imidazole-type ionic liquids, pyridine-type ionic liquids, piperidine-type ionic liquids, pyrrolidine-type ionic liquids, quaternary ammonium-type ionic liquids, morpholine-type ionic liquids, and quaternary phosphonium-type ionic liquids. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene of the invention has the advantages of non-black color, durable antistatic property, and good thermal stability.
