The present invention relates to the field of rubber preparation and discloses a flame-retardant acrylic rubber and its preparation method and application. The preparation method includes the following steps:
S1. Pre polymerization: Add the polymerization monomer and initiator to a microwave reactor for pre polymerization to obtain a pre polymer;
S2. Polymerization reaction: Transfer the prepolymer from step S1 to a polymerization reaction device for polymerization reaction; Among them, the polymerization reaction device is a tubular reactor and/or a twin-screw extruder, and flame retardant monomers are added to at least one of the microwave reactor, tubular reactor, and twin-screw extruder. The preparation method can accurately control the polymerization heat during the polymerization of acrylate rubber, realize the continuous production of acrylate rubber, and can introduce flame retardant monomer into the molecular chain of acrylate rubber during the preparation process, so that the acrylate rubber thus prepared has good flame retardant performance and high molecular weight, low gel content and low volatile matter.
