A Thermoplastic Inflatable Inner Tube

A thermoplastic inflatable inner tube, the preparation method of which comprises the following steps: Step 1: Thermoplastic elastomer material blending modification. Weigh each substance according to the ratio, feed it into a twin-screw extruder for blending extrusion, and pelletize it. Step 2: Tube body extrusion. Extrude the blended material obtained in Step 1 through a single-screw extruder and a tubular die, then cut and trim it to form the tube body. Step 3: Valve stem welding or bonding: Attach the valve stem to the tube from Step 2 via hot melt welding, ultrasonic welding, or adhesive bonding; Step 4: Tube end joining: Securely join the two ends of the tube from Step 3 using hot air, ultrasonic, laser, or high-frequency welding to complete the inflatable inner tube manufacturing. The production process for this thermoplastic inner tube is significantly shorter than that for traditional vulcanized rubber inner tubes. It eliminates the highly inefficient vulcanization process, reduces production line and equipment investment, enhances efficiency and automation, and lowers energy consumption and VOC emissions during manufacturing.
