A Device for Foaming and Molding Thermoplastic Polyesters

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyester foaming molding apparatus comprising: a twin-screw extruder, a melt pump, a static mixer, a foaming die head, a molding and shaping device, and a vacuum system. The length-to-diameter ratio of the twin screws in the twin-screw extruder is 35 to 45. The twin-screw barrel features one natural vent port, at least one vacuum vent port, and at least one blowing agent injection port. The vacuum system connects to the vacuum vent port on the twin-screw barrel, enabling vacuum adjustment between 20 Pa and 200 Pa in the vacuum vent section of the twin-screw extruder. The device employs a cooling system to control melt temperature. This apparatus constitutes an integrated production system for the dryer-free reactive extrusion foaming of thermoplastic polyesters. Polyester raw materials can be directly fed into the twin-screw extruder without drying, reducing energy consumption and enhancing production efficiency. It enables stable production of low-density, thermoplastic polyester foam sheets featuring uniform, fine-cell structure and substantial thickness. The process offers high production efficiency, low energy consumption, easy operation, and excellent production stability.
