The self-healing material comprises the following components by weight of raw materials: polypropylene resin 100 parts; 0.3–1.2 parts antioxidant; 0.3–1.2 parts lubricant; 2–5.5 parts self-healing masterbatch. The melt index of the polypropylene resin is 15–55 g/10 min. The self-healing masterbatch is obtained by melt extrusion through a twin-screw extruder and pelletization, using polyolefin elastomer, far-infrared powder, and a compatibilizer. This far-infrared self-healing material exhibits excellent self-healing properties, mechanical performance, and processability under far-infrared irradiation. It is applicable in automotive and home appliance fields, such as automotive exterior and interior trim, and external decorative structures of small appliances.
