A Method for Continuous Desulfurization and Regeneration of Waste Rubber Shoes Using Microwave Assistance

The present invention relates to a microwave-assisted continuous desulfurization and regeneration method for waste rubber shoes, falling within the field of recycled rubber utilization. The method involves uniformly mixing waste rubber powder with additives in a mixer according to specified ratios. The mixture is then conveyed through a continuous, sealed transport system equipped with a microwave emitter to a co-rotating twin-screw extruder. Within the extruder, under low shear conditions and elevated temperatures, cross-links are broken while desulfurization exhaust gases are vented. The material subsequently enters a cooling unit, yielding desulfurized rubber powder. Two heating methods ensure uniform thermal processing of the waste rubber powder, The product exhibits excellent stability and superior performance. The addition of additives effectively removes most of the waste gas generated during desulfurization. The process offers operational safety, simplicity, continuous operation, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness.
