A Recycled Polypropylene Composite Material, Its Preparation Method, and Application

The present invention relates to a recycled polypropylene composite material and its preparation method. The composite material comprises, by weight: recycled polypropylene resin 20-50 parts, virgin polypropylene resin 20-40 parts, inorganic minerals 10-30 parts, toughening agent 5-15 parts, odor improver 0.2-0.4 parts, and other additives 0.5-2 parts. The recycled polypropylene resin, virgin polypropylene resin, inorganic minerals, toughening agent, odor improver, and other additives are uniformly blended by high-speed mixing according to the specified ratios. The mixture is then melted and extruded through a twin-screw extruder to produce the composite material. The melt extrusion and subsequent processes are optimized as follows: 1. Incorporating a dual water injection process during the melt extrusion stage; 2. Adding a dual vacuum extraction process during the melt extrusion stage; 3. Adding a three-tank series drying process and increasing the heating fan power of the drying tanks. Through these steps, a recycled polypropylene composite material with excellent mechanical properties, low odor, and low VOC emissions is ultimately produced, making it highly suitable for automotive trim components.
