A Method for the Activation and Application of Waste Tire Rubber Powder

The present invention discloses an activation method and application of waste tire rubber powder, relating to the technical field of recycling of waste tire rubber powder. The activation method of waste tire rubber powder of the present invention is as follows: 80–100 parts of waste tire rubber powder, 0–10 parts of softener, 2–5 parts of activator and 0.5–1.0 part of anti-aging agent are placed in a closed container for maturation and mixing, then fed into a twin-screw extruder for reaction to obtain first activated rubber powder; the waste tire rubber powder is pretreated, added into sodium hypochlorite solution for stirring, standing and drying to obtain second activated rubber powder; the first activated rubber powder, the second activated rubber powder and a compatibilizer are fed into a twin-screw extruder together in a mass ratio of (20–40):(10–15):(2–6) for reaction to obtain the activated waste tire rubber powder. In the present invention, rubber powders with different activation degrees are re-crosslinked, and the prepared rubber powder is used for asphalt modification, which not only has good compatibility with asphalt and increases the blending amount in asphalt, but also improves the high temperature resistance of asphalt, with good application prospects.
