The present invention provides a biodegradable composite material reinforced by modified wood pulp fibers and a preparation method thereof, comprising: dispersing silicon nitride whiskers in a strong alkali solution to obtain pretreated silicon nitride whiskers; dispersing the pretreated silicon nitride whiskers in an ethanol aqueous solution, adding stearic acid and a titanate coupling agent into the suspension to obtain modified silicon nitride whiskers; mixing the modified silicon nitride whiskers with an ammonium persulfate aqueous solution, adding a hydrochloric acid solution and a pyrrole monomer, then adding an ammonium persulfate hydrochloric acid solution to obtain coated silicon nitride whiskers; soaking wood pulp fibers in a silane coupling agent solution to obtain modified wood pulp fibers; mixing the modified wood pulp fibers with a calcium chloride solution, heating and soaking, adding a sodium carbonate solution to obtain composite wood pulp fibers; adding the composite wood pulp fibers into the coating solution to obtain coated wood pulp fibers; mixing polylactic acid, PBAT resin, antioxidant, lubricant, plasticizer, coated silicon nitride whiskers and coated wood pulp fibers, then feeding into a twin-screw extruder for melt plasticization and extrusion pelletization.
