Silicon, cyclodextrin groups, phenolic resin and guanidino groups together form a flame-retardant system. During blending and extrusion, molecular chains of silicon-modified phenolic resin, guanidino-modified β-cyclodextrin and nylon 66 entangle to form interpenetrating networks. Silicon-modified phenolic resin and guanidino-modified β-cyclodextrin share partial segments, improving mutual compatibility, making the flame-retardant system distribute more uniformly and enhancing tensile strength.
