In parts by weight, the haloamine antibacterial polystyrene material comprises: 76–85 parts of styrene-(1,3,5-trichloro-6-methyl-(4'-vinylphenyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dione block copolymer), 1.5–3 parts of polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride, 2–6 parts of dispersion modifier, 5–10 parts of styrene-butyl acrylate binary graft-modified EPDM rubber, 3–5 parts of nano-apatite whisker, 0.01–2 parts of antioxidant, and 0.1–5 parts of processing aid. Hydrogen bonding exists between polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride and the styrene-based block copolymer in the antibacterial material, enhancing intermolecular forces. An antibacterial polystyrene material with high antibacterial activity, low exudation, washing resistance, and long service life is thus obtained.
