The present invention discloses a preparation process for modified epoxy resin powder coatings with electromagnetic shielding functionality, pertaining to the field of powder coating technology. It comprises the following steps: obtaining activated carbonized material; obtaining modified graphite powder; obtaining mixed filler; obtaining a mixed material; adding the mixed material to a twin-screw extruder for melting and extrusion to obtain slices; and subjecting the slices to pulverization and grinding to obtain the modified epoxy resin powder coating with electromagnetic shielding functionality. The coating formed after curing of the powder coating prepared by the present invention, when an electromagnetic wave radiation field approaches the coating surface, reflects a portion of the electromagnetic waves outward. The remaining portion transmits into the coating interior. During transmission, the electromagnetic waves undergo multiple reflections and transmissions at the interfaces within the coating, continuously attenuating the transmitted electromagnetic waves to ultimately achieve electromagnetic wave shielding functionality.
