This invention discloses a manufacturing method for high CTI value halogen-free flame-retardant reinforced polyphenylene sulfide, pertaining to the field of engineering plastics technology. The method involves the following steps: first, 2-10 parts of main flame retardant, 2-10 parts of flame retardant compound, 10-30 parts of CTI synergist, 5-15 parts of toughening agent, 0.5-1 part of compatibilizer, 1-2 parts of antioxidant, and 0.5-2 parts of lubricant are put into a high-speed mixer for high-speed stirring and mixing; 38-45 parts of polyphenylene sulfide are fed into a twin-screw extruder through the main feed port; the mixed material and 20-35 parts of glass fiber are fed into the twin-screw extruder through the side feed port; under the conveying and shearing action of the twin screws in the twin-screw extruder, the material is fully melted, plasticized, kneaded, and mixed. After extrusion from the extruder head, drawing, cooling, pelletizing, and drying, the final product is obtained, which is halogen-free flame-retardant polyphenylene sulfide. The preparation process of this invention is green and simple, with low cost. The halogen-free flame-retardant polyphenylene sulfide material prepared has a CTI value of over 300V and excellent mechanical properties.
