The present invention provides a conductive polyethylene material and a preparation method thereof, comprising the following steps: mixing conductive fibers, succinate and organotin in a high-speed mixer to obtain a conductive mixture; placing ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and acrylic resin in an internal mixer for mixing for 20–30 minutes; adding the conductive mixture into the internal mixer, and mixing at a rotation speed of 400–500 r/min and a temperature of 175–205°C for 10–20 minutes; placing the mixture in a twin-screw extruder for extrusion and pelletization to obtain the conductive polyethylene material. In the present invention, conductive fibers are used to modify UHMWPE, the interfacial properties between the conductive fibers and UHMWPE are good, and the obtained conductive polyethylene has excellent conductive properties without affecting its mechanical properties. Firstly, the ultra-high strength micro steel fibers are etched to facilitate the attachment of the silane coupling agent, and then modified carbon nanocages are grafted onto the surface of the ultra-high strength micro steel fibers through chemical reaction, thereby obtaining conductive fibers with excellent mechanical properties.
