A Method for Preparing Dual-Functional Modified Calcium Carbonate with Both Compatibilizing and Reinforcing Effects

The present invention discloses a preparation method of bifunctional modified calcium carbonate with both compatibilizing and reinforcing effects, belonging to the technical field of biodegradable materials. First, a 4-aminomethylbenzoic acid solution is prepared and sprayed onto the surface of pretreated calcium carbonate, followed by high-speed heating and mixing to obtain pretreated calcium carbonate. Second, folic acid is reacted in a solvent to obtain an active ester solution; the active ester solution is slowly added dropwise into a high-speed mixer under stirring for reaction, and the product modified calcium carbonate is obtained after drying. Finally, poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) and the above modified calcium carbonate are mixed at high speed to prepare a PBAT/folic acid-4-aminomethylbenzoic acid-calcium carbonate blend; the blend is melt-extruded by a twin-screw extruder to obtain the bifunctional modified calcium carbonate. The tensile strength of the product is increased to 30.36 MPa, and the elongation at break is increased to 698%; the contact angle of the prepared folic acid-4-aminomethylbenzoic acid-calcium carbonate is increased to 137.5°, and the activation rate is increased to 99.10%.
