A Method for Preparing High-Barrier and High-Dispersion Black Masterbatch for PET

This invention provides a method for preparing a high-barrier and highly dispersible PET black masterbatch. In this invention, a mixture of polytetramethylpentene and polybutylene terephthalate particles is mixed at a mass percentage of 18%-57%, 12%-23% of polyethylene terephthalate is added, and then melt-blended with 3.5% polyol ester. Carbon black is wet-milled for preliminary dispersion, resulting in a carbon black particle size between 16-18 nm. After the particle size meets the standard, the carbon black and liquid medium are separated. The mixed PET black masterbatch mixture is processed into masterbatch using a twin-screw extruder. The extruded and granulated masterbatch effectively solves the dispersion problem of wide-width black BOPET film, and can meet production quality requirements even with a masterbatch addition amount of up to 15%.
