A Method for Preparing Modified Polyphenylene Sulfide Fibers

The present invention relates to the technical field of polyphenylene sulfide fiber preparation, in particular to a preparation method of modified polyphenylene sulfide fiber. The method comprises: preparing nano-boron carbide-fiber-grade PPS blended pellets by a twin-screw extruder, and simultaneously conveying them to a drying oven for pre-crystallization; drying the pre-crystallized nano-boron carbide-fiber-grade PPS blended pellets at 120℃–170℃, and adaptively adjusting the drying temperature based on low-temperature characteristics in the neighborhood of pixel points and temperature distribution uniformity in drying images; subjecting the dried nano-boron carbide-fiber-grade PPS blended pellets to melt filtration to remove impurities; and performing melt spinning to obtain modified polyphenylene sulfide fiber. The present invention aims to avoid the degradation of overall subsequent properties caused by excessively high drying temperature of nano-boron carbide-fiber-grade PPS blended pellets, and reduce problems such as broken filaments in the subsequent spinning stage caused by excessively low temperature.
