The present invention discloses a preparation method and application of a slow‑release carbon source composite of biodegradable polymer and alkali‑treated lignocellulosic material, belonging to the technical field of composite carbon source preparation. The present invention crushes lignocellulosic material, adds the obtained lignocellulosic particles into an alkaline solution for soaking for 16–48 h, rinses, adjusts pH to neutral, filters and dries. The obtained product is uniformly mixed with PHBV particles at a mass ratio of 1:3 to 3:1, extruded by a twin‑screw extruder, air‑cooled to obtain continuous strands with a diameter of 3–4 mm, and cut into columnar particles to obtain the composite slow‑release carbon source. It is used to remove NH₄⁺‑N, NO₂⁻‑N and NO₃⁻‑N from aquaculture water, with average removal rates of 90.8%, 92.4% and 98.5% respectively, showing good application prospects.
