An Aerogel-Modified, Gas-Phase Flame-Retardant TPE Material and a Method for Its Preparation

The invention relates to the technical field of polymer materials, and discloses an aerogel-modified vapor-phase TPE flame-retardant material comprising the following components by weight parts: 70–90 parts of TPE, 10–30 parts of flame retardant, and 0.1–0.5 part of antioxidant. The flame retardant comprises the following components by weight parts: 30–60 parts of aerogel-modified aluminum diethylphosphinate, 20–50 parts of high-phosphorus polymer, 5–20 parts of synergist, 0.5–2 parts of surface modifier, and 0.5–5 parts of petroleum-based rubber processing oil. The preparation method is as follows: mix TPE, flame retardant and antioxidant evenly, add into a twin-screw extruder, control the main engine speed at 350–550 r/min, the processing temperature of the first zone at 140–180℃, that of other zones at 150–200℃, and the head temperature at 170–200℃, conduct melt blending and extrusion pelletization to obtain the aerogel-modified vapor-phase TPE flame-retardant material. The technical solution can obtain a TPE flame-retardant material with excellent flame retardancy, remarkable thermal insulation effect and good mechanical properties. Meanwhile, no dripping occurs during use of the material, and industrial production can be realized.
