The present invention provides a cellulose acetate/PBAT biodegradable composite and a preparation method thereof. The method is as follows: S1, thermoplastically modifying cellulose acetate with a plasticizer; S2, surface-modifying PBAT with dopamine; S3, mixing modified cellulose acetate, modified PBAT and nano-silica particles, and adding the mixture into a twin-screw extruder for pelletization; S4, adding the prepared pellets into an injection molding machine to prepare the cellulose acetate/PBAT biodegradable composite. The present invention enhances the interfacial compatibility of the composite by surface-modifying cellulose acetate and PBAT, which not only reduces the production cost of PBAT and enhances its mechanical properties, but also provides an effective approach for further development and utilization of biodegradable polymers, reducing environmental pollution.
