Masterbatch Formulation and Preparation Process for Enhancing Whiteness and Toughness of PET Recycled Materials

This invention provides a masterbatch formulation and preparation process for improving the whiteness and toughness of recycled PET materials, including the following process steps: first, grinding and thoroughly wetting fumed silica, a sodium ion-type polymer, and an oxygen-containing functional group polymer; then adding PET and PBT together into a high-speed centrifugal mixing tank for high-speed mixing; ensuring that the fumed silica with a bulk density of up to 0.2 g/ml is fully coated onto the carrier; adding colorants and nano-sized titanium dioxide for low-speed mixing, where the colorants include Solvent Blue 97, Solvent Red 52, and Solvent Violet 37; uniformly feeding the mixture into a twin-screw extruder using a vibratory hopper for extrusion granulation; adding the resulting granules to rPET materials at a ratio of 4%-8%, without affecting the yellowness (b-value) of the product; and finally, adding this product to rPET materials at a ratio of 4%-8%, resulting in a product with toughness and impact strength reaching 90% of that of products made with virgin PET.
