The medium-density polyethylene sheathing material comprises: 93-97 wt% of environmentally friendly recycled polyethylene base material, wherein the environmentally friendly base material consists of 33-37 wt% of MDPE cable sheath broken pieces particles, 8-12 wt% of transparent HDPE barrel broken pieces particles, 13-17 wt% of MDPE rattan chair edge broken pieces particles, and 33-37 wt% of LLDPE packaging film particles; as well as 4.1-4.3 wt% of carbon black masterbatch, 0.15-0.25 wt% of zinc stearate, 0.05-0.15% of nucleating agent, and 0.45-0.55 wt% of antioxidant, which are put into a mixer for pre-mixing to obtain a uniform pre-mixture; then the obtained pre-mixture is extruded and granulated through a twin-screw extruder at 180-200℃, and after cooling, the medium-density polyethylene sheathing material is obtained. It has the advantages of excellent mechanical properties, good processability, and good aging resistance.
