By using a twin-screw extruder in series with a single-screw extruder, a double grafting monomer or a triple grafting monomer is added in the twin-screw extruder to increase the grafting rate of unsaturated monomers onto polypropylene, and a crystallization nucleating agent is added in the single-screw extruder to increase the crystallinity of the long-chain branched polypropylene. The resulting modified polypropylene not only has high melt strength but also very high crystallinity.
