Degradable Polypropylene Material and Method for Its Preparation

The present invention discloses a degradable polypropylene material and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the technical field of degradable polypropylene materials, comprising the following steps: surface-modifying organic montmorillonite with tartaric acid, then mixing with bismuth nitrate pentahydrate and iron nitrate nonahydrate, performing high-temperature treatment, and calcining in a muffle furnace to obtain a composite material; mixing hydroxylated polypropylene carbonate, the composite material and a crosslinking agent to obtain degradable microcapsules; mixing polypropylene resin, degradable microcapsules, compatibilizer and additives, stirring, placing in a twin-screw extruder, extruding and pelletizing to obtain the degradable polypropylene material. Tartaric acid can complex with Bi³⁺ and Fe³⁺ cations to form a carbon dot-loaded organic montmorillonite mixture, which undergoes redox reaction with organic matter in the polypropylene material, thereby degrading the polypropylene material. Meanwhile, nano bismuth powder is synthesized on the organic montmorillonite and has good photocatalytic performance.
