The preparation method comprises fully mixing the homopolypropylene resin, hydrophobic flame-retardant toughening agent, flame retardant, antioxidant, light stabilizer and lubricant, then performing melt dispersion in a twin-screw extruder, and extruding and pelletizing. The polypropylene material prepared by the present invention has high high-temperature tensile strength and low-temperature toughness. The prepared composite insulator with sheds and sheaths has excellent high and low temperature resistance, long-term hydrophobicity, anti-fouling and anti-fouling flashover performance, and broad application prospects.
