A Novel Antibacterial Composite Material and Preparation Method Thereof

The present invention discloses a novel antibacterial composite material, comprising polypropylene, nano calcium oxide, methyltriethoxysilane, anhydrous ethanol, deionized water, citric acid, sodium polyacrylate, benzoyl peroxide, polyvinyl alcohol, wetting agent, defoamer, chain extender and other components. Methyltriethoxysilane, half of the anhydrous ethanol and deionized water are stirred and mixed, followed by sequential addition of citric acid, nano calcium oxide, sodium polyacrylate and anhydrous ethanol to obtain a wet gel; the wet gel is dried and sintered to obtain an aerogel; the aerogel, polypropylene, polyvinyl alcohol, wetting agent, defoamer, benzoyl peroxide and chain extender are mixed, fed into a twin-screw extruder for melt blending and extrusion, and then cooled, air-dried and pelletized to obtain the novel antibacterial composite material. The method of the present invention not only produces an antibacterial composite material with excellent antibacterial and bacteriostatic effects, but also simplifies the production process and reduces production costs.
