The powder coating is prepared by uniformly mixing polylactic acid resin, polyester resin, natural wax, a polylactic acid compatibilizer, a hydrolysis resistant agent and an environment-friendly antioxidant, extruding and granulating through a twin-screw extruder and drying to obtain a modified polylactic acid resin masterbatch, then mixing, tableting, crushing and sieving the modified masterbatch with TGIC, pigments, fillers and additives to obtain the polylactic acid-based powder coating. The present invention improves the compatibility among resin components and enhances the melt film-forming performance of the powder coating through the synergistic effect of natural wax and a polylactic acid compatibilizer during resin modification and powder coating melt film-forming, so that the coating has good impact resistance and gloss.
