A Process for Preparing Asphalt-Based Spherical Activated Carbon via Pulsed Microporous Jetting

The present invention relates to the technical field of pulsed micropore injection, and discloses a process for preparing pitch-based spherical activated carbon by a pulsed micropore injection method, comprising a storage bin, a twin-screw extruder, a pulsed micropore injection device, a falling tube spheronization section, a falling tube extraction section, a centrifuge, a drying oven, a pre-oxidation furnace and an activated carbonization furnace. The specific steps are as follows: Step 1: fully stirring and mixing high softening point pitch powder with a viscosity reducer, and adding the mixture into the storage bin; Step 2: heating and melting the mixture through a twin-screw extruder, with the temperature of the screw extruder controlled between 280–350°C; Step 3: conveying the melted mixture to a heating chamber of the pulsed micropore injection device, with the temperature in the heating chamber controlled at 120–200°C. The process for preparing pitch-based spherical activated carbon by the pulsed micropore injection method is superior to the prior art in terms of spheronization quality, environmental protection, performance, energy saving and consumption reduction, scalability and automation, with significant advantages and broad application prospects.
