The present invention discloses a preparation method of high-impact talc powder for special plastics. The method comprises mixing an elastomer with a polar monomer and an initiator, feeding into a twin-screw extruder for melt grafting modification to obtain a graft-modified elastomer product; adding the graft-modified elastomer product into xylene solvent, dissolving at 130–150 °C under condensation reflux, pouring into acetone quickly while hot after complete dissolution for suction filtration and purification to obtain a precipitate, and drying the precipitate to obtain a modified elastomer powder grafted with polar monomer; ball-milling talc powder in a ball mill to obtain activated powder, adding the activated powder into a high-speed mixer for high-speed stirring at 130–160 °C, then adding the modified elastomer powder for continued high-speed stirring, and finally discharging into a dryer for drying to obtain modified talc powder. The present invention solves the problem that in the existing talc powder reinforced plastic production process, the strength and rigidity of the material increase but the toughness decreases significantly.
