A Production Process for Modified Plastic Granules

The present invention relates to a production process of modified plastic pellets, comprising the following steps: S1: Raw material preparation: resin: 100 parts of PVC, 15 parts of CPE; stabilizer: 13 parts of ZnSt; flame retardant: 200 parts of iron oxide powder, 10 parts of Sb₂O₃; S2: Grinding: grinding the resin and flame retardant respectively by a grinder; S3: Melt mixing: first mixing and stirring PVC with CPE and stabilizer, then adding into a high-speed mixer together with the flame retardant; S4: Extrusion molding: adding the uniformly stirred mixture into a twin-screw extruder for extrusion; S5: Cooling and cutting: cooling the extruded melt through a cooling water tank, then cutting by a cutter. The obtained relevant properties are: oxygen index 30%–37%, tensile strength 12–18 MPa, elongation at break ≥ 150%. The material has good flame retardancy and smoke suppression performance, as well as excellent mechanical properties and sound insulation effect. It is a halogen-free flame-retardant modified PVC suitable for making sheets, strips and products with flame retardant, smoke suppression and sound insulation functions.
