The invention relates to the technical field of degradable polymer materials, in particular to a softener for ultra-soft degradable spunbond non-woven fabric, and a preparation method and application thereof. The softener is prepared by melt-mixing one of polybutylene succinate or poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) with hydroxymethyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol, aliphatic polyamide, montan wax, ricinoleic acid and glycerol monostearate in a twin-screw extruder. Thereafter, the softener is used to prepare a modified material, which is further used to produce an ultra-soft degradable spunbond non-woven fabric. The softness of the non-woven fabric is 16.5–19.7 mN, the fiber diameter is 18–19 μm, and the biodegradation rate under composting conditions for 180 days is greater than 95.3%.
