The preparation method of the weather-resistant powder coating comprises the following steps: S1: mixing epoxy resin, barium sulfate, titanium dioxide, weather-resistant agent, crosslinking agent, leveling agent, benzoin and catalyst uniformly to prepare a base material; S2: mixing polyester resin, fluororesin, curing agent, defoaming agent, UV absorber, phenylacetaldehyde and tetrabutylammonium hydroxide uniformly to prepare an intermediate material; S3: melt-extruding the base material and the intermediate material at a mass ratio of (1–1.5):1 in a twin-screw extruder, pressing into sheets, with a machine body temperature of 90–110°C and a die head temperature of 105–120°C; then sending the sheets into a high-speed pulverizer for pulverization and sieving to obtain the weather-resistant powder coating. The weather-resistant powder coating prepared by the present invention has the advantage of excellent weather resistance.
