Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyamide Composite Material and Its Preparation Method

This embodiment of the invention provides a glass fiber-reinforced polyamide composite material and a method for preparing it. The method includes drying the polyamide resin; pre-mixing the dried polyamide resin, antioxidant, and lubricant; melt-blending and stretching/shearing the pre-mixed materials and glass fibers using a differential twin-screw extruder to obtain extruded strands; and cooling and granulating the extruded strands to obtain the glass fiber-reinforced polyamide composite material. The asymmetric structure of the differential twin-screw extruder introduces a chaotic field and a tensile force field, significantly improving mixing efficiency and shortening the thermomechanical process, thus preventing the degradation of the polyamide matrix. This effectively preserves the glass fiber length, allowing the glass fibers to more effectively reinforce and toughen the polyamide matrix, improving the mechanical properties of the material.
