A Method for the Preparation and Application of a Liquid Crystal Polymer

The present invention relates to a preparation method and application of a liquid crystal polymer, belonging to the technical field of polymer materials. The objective of the present invention is to solve the problem of avoiding foaming of the liquid crystal polymer. The preparation method comprises: mixing four raw materials, namely p-hydroxybenzoic acid, biphenol, 2,6-dicarboxybiphenylene and terephthalic acid, with an acylating agent and a catalyst to obtain a mixture; subjecting the mixture to prepolymerization to obtain a prepolymer; and subjecting the prepolymer obtained in step S2 to solid-phase polycondensation in an inert gas atmosphere to obtain a liquid crystal polymer. Adding 100 parts of the liquid crystal polymer and 30–35 parts of an inorganic filler into a twin-screw extruder for melt plasticization, extrusion, cooling and pelletization to obtain a liquid crystal polymer composition. The present invention provides a preparation method and application of a liquid crystal polymer.
