A Low-Density Nylon and Its Preparation Method

The present invention provides a low-density nylon and its preparation method. The preparation method comprises the following steps: a) dissolving hydroxy acid small molecules in a solvent, removing water, cooling, then adding trifunctional isocyanate for reaction for 1 to 2 hours; subsequently, under inert gas protection and stirring, adding a catalyst to continue the reaction for 3 to 5 hours to obtain a reinforcing additive; b) Mixing PA66, talc powder, glass microspheres, the reinforcing additive obtained in step a), and a silane coupling agent; then extruding the mixture using a twin-screw extruder at 275°C to 295°C under vacuum conditions of -0.08 MPa to -0.05 MPa to obtain low-density nylon. Compared to existing techniques, the present invention employs specific raw materials—particularly the introduction of a specific reinforcing additive—combined with tailored preparation processes, conditions, and parameters to achieve overall synergistic interaction. The resulting low-density nylon exhibits enhanced strength.
