This invention provides a radiation-resistant modified PEEK material and its preparation method, belonging to the field of polymer modified materials technology.
The modified PEEK material comprises the following components in weight percentage: 30%-60% PEEK, 3%-5% toughening agent, 1%-3% compatibilizer, 10%-30% lead powder, 10%-30% glass fiber, and 0.3%-0.5% other additives; the other additives include antioxidants and lubricants.
The preparation method includes mixing PEEK, lead powder, toughening agent, compatibilizer, and other additives; placing the mixed material into a twin-screw extruder, adding glass fiber, and performing melt extrusion; cooling the extruded material and feeding it into a pelletizer for granulation; and packaging the granulated particles to obtain the modified PEEK material.
Through the treatment scheme of this invention, the radiation resistance of the PEEK material is improved.
