A Toughened PA/ABS Alloy Material and Method for Its Preparation

The present invention relates to the technical field of polymer alloy materials, specifically a toughened PA/ABS alloy material and its preparation method. The PA/ABS alloy is prepared by high-speed uniform mixing of modified PA6, ABS, antioxidant, compatibilizer and toughener, followed by melt blending and extrusion in a twin-screw extruder. By controlling the type and dosage of polyols, the prepared modified PA6 achieves a water contact angle of 102.5° with high hydrophobicity. Adjusting the mass ratio of PA6 to siloxane and PA to ABS endows the alloy with high melting temperature and outstanding heat resistance. Controlling the viscosity and dosage of modified PA6 as well as the type and addition amount of ABS ensures high mechanical strength of the material. The compound use of two types of ABS and optimized component dosage provide the alloy with a notched impact strength of 52 KJ/m². The combined application of compatibilizers and tougheners realizes high interfacial compatibility and excellent comprehensive mechanical properties.
